Some of the largest companies, brand owners, thermoformers and specialty printers in the food, consumer retail and non-sterile medical markets utilize EcoStar PET – companies that demand high clarity, tight tolerance and eco-friendly PET rollstock for their products’ thermoformed packaging.
Located in Fitchburg, WI, EcoStar is a 70K square foot, state-of-the-art reclamation, recycling and extrusion facility dedicated to producing PET – from up to 100% post-consumer recycled PET rollstock to heat sealable, print-grade and BioAPET sheet blends. In all, approximately 1 billion recycled PET bottles and thermoforms pass through our facility’s doors each year to be repurposed into our sustainable lines of clear PET rollstock for thermoformed packaging applications.
We support the recycling of PET rollstock. Our high clarity and high performance post-consumer PET is manufactured with up to 100% curbside-collected plastic bottles and thermoforms. Our uniquely formulated blends are used to thermoform everything from hinged food containers, catering trays and lids, plastic clamshells for household goods, clear blister packaging for cosmetics to non-sterile medical trays.
At EcoStar, one of our strategic goals is focused on helping others rethink the way they view recycled plastic materials. Ecostar recycled PET rollstock is geared towards environmentally-conscious thermoformers and brand owners who demand high-performance, post-consumer PET sheet. EcoStar was established to fill a void in the market for consistent, high-quality post-consumer recycled PET manufactured in the USA.
EcoStar is a Placon company, a leading, Madison, WI based, North American designer, thermoformer and injection molder of custom and stock packaging for the food, consumer retail and medical device markets.
