Flake

EcoStar® recycles bales of curbside collected post-consumer PET bottles and mixed bales of post-consumer thermoform packaging, grinds, washes, and processes them into flake.  EcoStar recycled PET flake products include utility grade flake for consumer products markets and LNO (letter of non-object) flake for food packaging.

Utility – Flake used for consumer packaged goods.

LNO – Letter of non-object flake is FDA approved for food contact allowing 100% post-consumer food packaging.

High IV LNO – Similar to LNO flake but it is sent through an extra process to raise the Intrinsic Viscosity (IV) value equal to virgin PET.
